Prohibir no funciona

Bajo control de IT.

Bajo control

No hace falta elegir.

Right now, someone in your company is uploading the closing spreadsheet to a chat.

Someone else is publishing a dashboard they built with AI and sharing it by link. And a third person is asking the same question with a different file, and will bring a different number to the board.

You don't know about any of it. That's the problem.

What happens when nobody is looking

In Nobody Talks About the CTO I wrote about why this happens. The business teams need results, and the tool is one click away. Nobody does it in bad faith.

But look at what it leaves behind. Company data copied into personal accounts. Dashboards nobody knows where they live, or how they were calculated. Two teams with two numbers, and neither one traceable.

And there is a cost almost nobody looks at: every question makes the model reread the files from scratch. The same work, paid for in tokens, again and again.

I have been the one who had to stand behind the number. When that number has no origin, there is no way to defend it.

Banning it doesn't work

The natural reaction is to cut it off. Block the chat, ban file uploads, send an email to the whole company.

It works for two weeks. Then AI comes back another way, because the need is still there.

So the question is not whether the business teams will use AI with company data. They already do. The question is where.

What Teramot is

Teramot is the place where your company's AI works with your data. Under IT's control.

It runs in your infrastructure, in your cloud or on your own servers. More than 50 agents connect to your systems, build the whole data pipeline, from ingestion to results tables, and maintain it every night.

And your company picks the AI. The one your teams already use, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot, connects over MCP. Or you bring your own key, BYOK, with any model you want, running wherever you want, even a local model inside your network. They all come in through the same front door.

<Fig name="puerta" lang="en" alt="Diagram of a company's infrastructure: the systems and Teramot inside the perimeter, and the AI tools connected through a single door" caption="The systems, Teramot and the data stay inside. AI comes in through one door." />

And this changes everything. I'll start with what matters most.

AI never sees your sensitive data

Sensitive data is obfuscated by default, before AI ever touches it. A customer's name, their email, their card. AI never sees the real value. It works with obfuscated values.

And when the result reaches the screen of someone with permission, the real value shows up there, locally, inside your infrastructure. It never went through the model.

In other words, you can use the best model in the world without sending it a single piece of personal data.

<Fig name="ofusca" lang="en" alt="Table with three sensitive values: the real value in the systems, an obfuscated value for the AI, and the real value again on the user's screen" caption="AI works with the obfuscated value. The real one only shows up where it should." />

More secure

Your data stays home. Teramot only reads your systems, it never writes to them. Your company's roles apply to every action, AI included, by table, by row and by column.

Under control

IT sees everything AI does. It is a secure chat that IT monitors: who asked what, which tool the AI used, what changed and whether it was allowed. Logs you can read and export.

Every table, dashboard and alert has an owner and a history. Nothing lives in a personal account.

Better

Every number can be audited back to the system it came from. Every results table keeps the pipeline that produces it, its sources and its lineage. Confirmed numbers are checked again every month.

And every answer shows how it was calculated: 64,152 rows read, 5 rows of result, joins at 100%. When two teams read the same table, the board gets one number.

Cheaper

This is the one that surprises people most.

Every results table is computed once and stays in your infrastructure. Dashboards and refreshes read it without calling a model. Opening a dashboard costs no tokens.

On a real request from a retail chain, from the question to the published dashboard, Teramot used about 52 thousand tokens. Doing the same with a model alone against the same tables takes an estimated 340 thousand. I went through it in detail in Token Myths.

<Fig name="tokens" lang="en" alt="Two bars: about 52 thousand tokens with Teramot and an estimated 340 thousand without Teramot, for the same request" caption="Expensive once, when it is designed. Almost free, every time it is used." />

And deterministic

The agents design the pipeline once. They read your systems, build it end to end and save it.

After that it runs on its own, with no model. Same data, same result, every time. And if a source changes, the refresh tells you what changed and leaves your numbers alone until you review it.

Once again: AI designs it. Then it runs like any other system the CTO already knows how to audit.

The CTO stops saying no

Faster, better, more secure, cheaper and under control. You don't have to choose.

The business teams get what they were looking for: dashboards, analysis, alerts, presentations, with the AI they already use. And the CTO gets back what the job always required: architecture, permissions, and someone who stands behind the number.

The CTO stops being the one who says no, and becomes the one who made it possible.

That is what we are changing.
